Code of Conduct for the Insurance Industry

We take the protection of your privacy in thecollection, processing, and use of your personal data in accordance with legalrequirements very seriously. For this reason, we joined the "Code ofConduct for the Handling of Personal Data by the Insurance Industry" onJuly 1, 2013. The participating companies commit to complying with therequirements agreed upon herein and to implementing any additional regulationsthat may be necessary in a timely manner.

The Code of Conduct sets out rules of conduct for howpersonal data (e.g., for the execution or termination of insurance contracts)should be handled, thereby establishing uniform standards in the insuranceindustry.

These rules of conduct were jointly developed in acoordinated process with representatives of the German data protectionauthorities, the Federation of German Consumer Organizations (vzbv), and theGerman Insurance Association (GDV), and were ultimately declared GDPR-compliantby the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
